Narcissus

This collection borrows the medium of “mirror reflection” from the Greek mythology of Narcissus, who fell in love with his own reflection in a pond. It strikes a warning towards self-obsession and serves as a reminder of the danger of fixation to physical beauty.

Jewellery is often associated with vanity. Although unintentionally, it frequently brings forward the wearer, mostly females, an obsession of beautiful and extravagant appearance on objects and people. The association between this property of jewellery and Narcissus’ mythology inspired the principle visual expressions for this collection.
